Nick Bunch keeps pusing the envelope with his drawing, if you've read Desert Rats you already know he can put ink down on the page. But this book brings things to a new level, there's a much freer and more expressive rhythm to his figures here, an experimental approach that isn't self indulgent, all his craft is still here, just advanced. This book about quitting smoking is also one of the most from the heart works we've seen so far from this author, another solid work of cartooning from a cartoonist whose work we just love to look at and who sets a high bar among his peers for what drawing in comics can be.
