Wow...these is an entirely new cartoonist to me, and there work is incredibly interesting. Deadtime Data is, at a glance, a sci-fi a series about technology, but the reading experience itself is far far deeper. Leuenberger's drawing (which increases in detail, skill and intensity as the series builds) is rich with feeling, and he gives us symbols that aren't meant to be superficial but instead offer real signifigance and emotional weight to the narrative he is building here. Highly recommended.
