Christmas in DC by Stipan Tadić. $12, 24 pages, black and white, published by Cram.

This is a really strong comic, it features a couple going on trip to Washington, DC during Christmas. Rather than focusing on melodrama or intense moments, Tadić instead presents the fabric of everyday life, two people doing things together, the minor highs and lows. This comic is a document of peoples thoughts, movements and rhythms. Tadić draws things with a patience to do justice to this: scenes and situations are described but not phrased to guide you into a specific emotion. Things are documented with heart, but left to the reader to breath themselves into. A very beautiful work.
