TV Grime #4 by Luke Geddes. $14 74 pages, digest size zine, mostly black and white with some color.
I absolutely loved this. Geddes reviews every TV show he can recall watyching that owes some influence, positive or negative, to Twin peaks. What we have here is a record of certain time periods, certain cultural attitudes, all filtered through someone's TV watching. Geddes is both critical/angry/perceptive about some of the TV he's watched, and appreciative/respectful of the better work he viewed. I watched network TV at around the same age as Geddes, and seeing someone reconcile thoughts about that moment is fascinating---mainly because Geddes is a really smart and funny writer. Great stuff, well worth your time and designed in an extremely visual (almost comics!) fashion.
