There are a ton of anthologies of young cartoonists in New York right now, but this one manages to break the mold. It doesn't shy away from the radicalism within current underground New York self publishing, but also embraces artists with a more orthodox story sensibility, and manages to balance the two extremes into something quite compelling. Many artists in here that I love who turn in strong work, many other artists I'd never heard of with stunning pages.
